In Chapter Four we shifted this from a book on personal excellence to a management book. Beyond just focusing on the person’s role and the tasks that need to be executed well, we challenge you to focus on what each person brings to the table and how any person can make a significant difference.
Two quick ideas in Chapter Four:
First, write down the names of ten people you work. Then think about each of them through the lens of their Assets for Significance, which are their character strengths, passions, strengths, behaviors, and confidence.
Second, talk with each one of them about he or she sees his or her Assets for Significance.
With this understanding in mind, focus on helping the person think about how to leverage these assets toward making an even more significant impact in the various areas of his or her life.
