In Chapter Five we define leadership as influencing how other people think so they make decisions that improve results in a sustainable way. You can’t be everywhere all the time. Impossible. But your influence on how people think can be present.
Two approaches we cover in Chapter Five:
First, we look at what you can do to influence another person directly. Tell a story, be the example, ask a question, break the idea down and explain it piece by piece, and many more.
Second, we look at how you can build an environment where motivated, competent people can think for themselves and consistently improve results.
This is leadership at both the micro and macro level.
